Marder III building wraps up

I started building the Marder III in December 2019 and I finally completed it in December 2020, wrapping up the year with a part 3 build video on YouTube.

I spent a huge amount of time researching this make shift tank destroyer, learning all bout it inside and out down to the nuts and bolts.

Painting it requires more research and it may need a couple of videos to cover the whole painting process I'm not sure yet, but I do need a short break from the project.

So I thought I would start the year off with a fun project that I picked up while I was on holiday over Xmas. I looked up hobby shops near me on google and came up with one about half an hour away.

When I got there I thought google had got it wrong as it had led me to a car repair garage.

Upon closer inspection I found the hobby store was located inside the garage in the waiting room. The small waiting room was filled floor to sealing with model boxes!

I spent some time and found one that intrigued me, the Interplanetary U.F.O Mystery ship from AMT.

It looked like a lot of fun to paint and use a lot of techniques on. So I bought it (with a little haggling) and now the project is on the go, super easy build so it's all about the paint work really.

I'm going for organic alien green with the structure of panel lining using various shades of green. Oh and of course I will be applying a heap of alien pirate decals! what fun!.

I am also using this project as a tester to see how well it is received on YouTube as I would like to be able to do these fun sci-fi types of builds on the channel and I have a few ideas ready to go.

Feel free to let me know what you think!.
