Workbench update

Like many people in the world right now, I have to stay home for a few weeks. What to do with that time? charge ahead with modelling projects of course!.

In Fact I have already finished the first part of my Marder III build, and the video is up on my YouTube channel right now. If you have not been to my channel before it is simply https://www.youtube.com/locktonart or just click on the links on this sites main page.

So far on the build I have done a lot of study on the inside the of the Marder III H, the engine, the ammo racks, the back trays and the exhaust/muffler. I have then translated that into detailing on the actual model, adding a lot of wires and tubes on the engine, also adding extensions and straps with buckles on the ammo racks.

I have scratch built many parts on the back to get it looking more accurate such as brackets for the muffler, tray supports and even working hinges for the engine access doors.

Over all it is moving along very nicely and I am immensely enjoying this project. It is such an interesting looking vehicle of Czech design merged with German fire power and armour. A stop gap tank destroyer until they made purpose built ones.

I will be working on part II soon!.

I am also working on a video for my quick builds series, the third installment this will be another tank destroyer a Russian SU-76M in 1/100 scale.

It looks much more involved than the others and seems to have much more detail built in. I will be making this as it would have been in winter, with a winter white wash and lots of dirt and mud weathering.

Lots to do and lots to look forward to so keep an eye out and until then happy modelling!.
